Our Comenius Project:To Learn National Holidays and Respect Them

Project Summary

The project aims to provide a chance to celebrate and learn about significant events. Celebrating national holidays from different cultures is a way for teachers and pupils to work together and create developmentally and culturally appropriate learning experiences. Teachers and pupils are encouraged to share feelings and information about national holidays that are celebrated. This will help them make relations between learning about another country's holiday' rituals and celebrating one's own holidays. Pupils and teachers participate as "quests" in holidays activities that are not part of their own culture and all these activities are presented to all pupils and teachers of all the project partners by CD and Power Point presentations.
We will encourage our pupils and teachers to improve their social and communicative abilities by participating different national holidays.
We would like to do various activities about national holidays in order to learn different countries' culture and spoken English level of participants.
Each country informs the other partner schools about its national holiday and makes preparation for them.
Our project is going to make the use of progressive ICT tools and meaningful audio-visual activities in an effort to demonstrate to the pupils’ virtues of binding cultural differences and similarities together.
